SCCU Course Details.

Postby Andrew G » Sat Feb 10, 2007 11:39 am

Does anyone have the course details for the SCCU 10 and 25 on March 24th and 25th please?

I know I'll get them when I enter but being sporting courses I want to ride the routes first and would like a bit more time to play with.

Not done these before, and never done a 25, but we have to try and get the Rawson Shield back off the evil Bec  .

Cheers,

Andrew.

G10/46 does a little loop south-west of Oakwoodhill, then the main loop is Oakwoodhill, Ockley, Forest Green, Mayes Green, Walliswood, Oakwoodhill.

G25/48 is two laps of Loxwood, Alfold, Alfold Crossways, Dunsfold, Plaistow, Ifold, Loxwood.

Both are good fun courses, and Robin Johnson's events are always well organised. There's a "no tri-bars" prize, which ACC won on both days last year - Richard Viney in the 10 and Ben Jones in the 25.

Bit of a hijack but the Rawson shield has been mentioned. How is counting for the competition done, it is participation in all SCCU throughout the year?

Thanks for the info Jon, much appreciated.

Dominic - It's the club with the highest number of riders in all SCCU events. Anyone who rides any Southern Counties Cycling Union TT in Addiscombe colours gives us a point, and points make....a shield in this case.

Apparently we've won it year after year, and then Bec sneaked up and Mr Coffey and Co whipped it off us last time.

Just bumping this back up to the top as a reminder.

Anyone who's considering entering, the closing date for entries is Tuesday 13th March.

Matt,

Haven't got a handbook handy, so will post the details tonight unless someone else sees this and does it before me.

Anyway entries should have been in today, so you should phone Robin and grovel a bit to see if he'll accept a late entry. 01403 783368

Have you had a start sheet Jon? Not got one yet.

Looking at the line-ups the Addiscombe wooden spoon will be all mine. :D

Andrew, Robin was at the SCCU 21 yesterday so he gave out startsheets to anyone riding next week. Yours will be in the post I assume.

I won't be there

When I sent my entry I forgot to put on that I wanted to do the 25. I had sorted my work out so that I was working Saturday and was free Sunday. Robin then left a message that my wife did not give me until Saturday. That was too late and Robin made the executive decision and put me in the 10.

Oh well plenty more to do.

Dom
Thats a shame, at least your entry will still count towards the Shield.

Andy
Wooden spoon, that`ll be me especially based on the way I am going at the moment
