Hello Dombo,
This is my first season as well. A veteran of exactly one race
.
This cherry-popping experience happened at Chertsey, which is a nice interesting circuit. It's about 2 miles in length with a couple of small lumps on it, but big ring stuff.
I don't know if the lumps put you off as I'm not sure what type of rider you are, you could be a mountain goat. I certainly am not and I got round in the bunch comfortably of a very sort 8 lap race.
The next Chertsey ones are:
[quote]or those of us who enjoyed racing at Chertsey MOD circuit last Sunday, and the week before, I've noticed there are 3 more there this year. I think I'll probably do them as I thought it was a nice circuit and easy to get to.
Sat 14/4
Sat 5/5
Sat 2/6
Each date also has a 3rds race and an E/1/2 for those more rapid.
I'm hoping to get to all of them (and expect a few others will) so you wouldn't be the only ACC rider.
Good luck and see you in a 4th Cat race soon
(Oh, sotbo, but you need to buy a racing licence from BC first. The Chertsey races are Surrey League but you don't have to become a member of that as well, you can still ride but have to pay a bit extra)
