Fixed sprockets

Postby Amy » Fri Mar 23, 2007 12:05 pm

A friend of mine has a load of old bike bits to sell. Among them are several fixed sprockets. Any interest?

Sprockets are:

Pressed 15t, 16t, 18t and 22t £2

Machined 13t, 15t £3

Campagnolo alloy 15t, 16t £7

If there is any interest I can either bring them out on a club run (probably not tomorrow) or provide contact details for my friend.

And when I say old, I mean old style equipment rather than used!

if they are 1/8" and are just threaded sprockets - if kieran doesnt want

them i could do with the machined 13t and 15t possibly even the 18t as

well

cheers Rob.

I'm tempted to put myself down for the 22T, but then I might have to do a hill climb! Only interested in 1/8" though.

I'll count the teeth on the rest of my collection and see what's missing.

The answer is yes, if you have a standard threaded track hub.

And I forgot to say they are 1/8 inch

The thread for a screw-on sprocket is one of the very few things that is still standard and hasn't been fecked around with by Messers Shimano & Campagnolo over the past 20 years or so.

As there has been some interest, if you want to contact Ian Burt on 020 8642 7961, he will be pleased to sell the sprockets to you!

I have told Ian who is interested in what where specified but he will sell on a first come first served basis so you'd better be quick!

Just to say that if you want any of these, get in touch with Ian (020 8642 7961) before this Saturday (31 March) otherwise he'll be selling them at the Ripley cycle jumble.
