Large Old Frame Wanted

Postby George » Mon Apr 02, 2007 4:38 pm

Anyone got an old steel or Aluminium frame they want to sell?

Now I've just broken the bottom bracket thread on my steel commuting bike.

Looking for 56cm+ size, I don't mind how old, I just need to fit a rack and mudguards on.

cash waiting!!

Can't you fix it with one of these? Probably more expensive than an old steel frame, but much more satisfying - in a 'look at me, I'm a bloke who can mend stuff' way.

Perhaps others know differently ( please feel free to correct me ) but I think Bonthrone Bikes might still be a bit iffy. Although internet side of the business is now seperate, I understand there might still be problems.

Just a thought.

Look at me I'm the Bloke who breaks Frames:lol:

I don't think it's worth spending up to £100 to fix my knackered old Frame.

I could get a brand new one for £50 more.

Still even better buy a fellow ACCr's unwanted frame

Marek suggested a Ribble Audax/Winter frame but there not available until August :!:

Any other sugestions where to buy a Frame :?:

I have an Ambrosio Solaro frame with Ambrosio A8 fork as one of my bikes and would recommend Ambrosio.
Not sure where Guido fits in relation to Solaro but mine was my first proper bike (from Pearson's) about 5 years ago and was near the budget end.
