Not me, guv. I try not to go into the inner city if it's at all possible to avoid it. I've got this bizarre liking for oxygen in my air*.

*this does seem very strange given that I grew up on Teeside.

Sorry Grahame no chocolate, looks like Dominic and Robert have got you  .

Don't know if Tim still does 7 miles on a bmx! (If you're out there Toks says you looking lean and mean, 1st cat this year?)

36 miles each way, although I only do one way in a day. First time was today and took in Tandridge Hill Lane on the way, blimey that was tough at 6.30am.

Cheers

16 -17 miles each way from wallington to city & across to canary wharf.

Do it five days a week unless i'm going for some pop after work

Started doing it at christmas and its a lot better than the sweaty tube!

Hell George, that'll be a longer ride that I've done :!:

By the way, it doesn't count unless you had a 10 kg panier attached

I sure did have a 10K pannier attached Paul.

The Awards show I was working on at Silverstone finished at 3am Sat morning.

The Audio guy's told me I could get a lift back to london with their truck at 3am. :)

Only problem was their truck didn't turn up :(

Only one thing for it, I got togged up and rode all the way home.

It sure was cold, lucky I had my head LED torch to light up the village road signs.

It was a very surreal and weird experience, I didn't feel tired at all, the legs just kept me rolling South and after being awake for 24-hours, I made it back just after 8-am

wasn't crazy enough to roll on down to the CR though :P

Nice one George, bet the roads were quiet :!:

Years ago, we used to have a clubrun that rode through the night to Brighton, leaving at 10:00pm. Some lunatics (not me I hasten to add) then went swimming  and then get back as the sun comes up

Thinking of getting this going again when it's a bit warmer. Any takers :?: (you don't have to swim :!: )

Yeah id be up for that, did a couple of night rides over xmas when i was working and loved em!

When i was younger i used to ride home from work at the hotel at 1-2am every week and i always wondered what its like to do a proper night ride in the summer...

So yeah, definately! I might even go for a quick swim if its not too nippy!

Sounds good. After the last run where Mark and I kept misjudging where the top of Ditchling Beacon was I don't fancy our chances of getting it right at night either.

Marco, I know at least a couple of people want to do a steadier (15s-ish type group) Brighton run, although a day ride. I won't name names as it's unfair to put pressure on to arrange, but could be a possibility this year.

We could just have a "steady" run down - don't worry Andrew, as you wouldn't be able to see Ditchling, you wouldn't notice it was there 8)
