Paul, i had a couple of cramps yesterday too, and it was the first time this year i have worn only shorts...

Can you please elaborate on why this would lead to cramps...?

I think you can get cramp if your muscles are cold.

Well done on racing 2 days in a row - should do you some good for next week.

Well done guy's.

Sounds a pretty tough race pace for the 3rd cats.

Matt looking forward to racing with you mate, thoes leg cramps towards the end are just probably lack of milege, your legs are prety strong already by the sounds of it.

Or maybe you need to drink a little more to replace some of the lost electrolytes during the race?

Adam well done for racing as well on Sunday, with such a fast pace at Henfold on Saturday your legs must have really felt it yesterday.

On Saturday my legs felt fine no cramps but I did get a nasty stitch in my chest on the last lap.

Hey Matt, Mr Smooth operator, excellent result, well done mate!...Big up yourself Adam - racing back to back shows your forms building up nicely. Aren't you glad Phil. S and I slapped you up good and proper when you were tempted to cry off your whole season and become an Audax rider? Hey Sean congratulations to you and Mrs H - its springtime and babies are on their way 8)

Yeah it was tough sunday, but not that bad. i reckon had i either not raced on saturday or retired after an hour, that i would have definately been well up there at the finish on the sunday.

I felt really comfortable on saturday until the last lap when the pace went up. But hey, im doing three days this weekend, so we'll see how that one goes...!

Im well up for dunsfold on sunday, short closed circuit, pan flat, windswept, should stay together for a bunch sprint...

The one thing i did notice since we raced on the road at dusfold, is i seem to have found more confidence to ride at the front (well near anyway!). Which is good, on sunday i really wanted to be near the front all race, but my legs just werent quite up to it after saturdays efforts.

but this weekend is just third cats, and mentally im there, so with a little but of luck, my legs will start to get me up there too...

thanks in no small part too toks and phil s for the duly mentioned slap i received after crying my eyes out a few weeks ago, i really feel like i have come on a long way in the last couple of weeks.

I just wish someone would ride this weekend with me, ill get lonely otherwise!!!

I used creatine for my first road race of the season on Sunday and cramped up when going for the fisnish. iwas in with a shout of winning too.
I've never had cramp before so I shan't be using creatine again.
I didn't know why I'd cramped before reading this thread, so it's been a big help.

Found this on the C+ forum
