Shaving...

Postby Graham O » Wed Apr 18, 2007 1:48 pm

I have noticed quite an increase in the number of shaven legs in the club this year. I must admit that I am starting to contemplating this myself, but I am in a bit of a quandry...

Does one do this or not..Opinions Required !!

Not sure.

Maybe I should start wearing my tracksuit bottoms in the marital bed. She might not find out them....Me thinks this has some drawbacks though !!

Mrs A has made it abundantly clear that this is one of about five offences carrying a penalty of instant dumping.

I dabbled with the old leg shaving thing when i was a bit younger, but a girlfriend at the time said she wanted hairy masculine legs, and thats what she got. Plus i hadn't even really contemplated racing at the time.

Even last year when i started racing it wasn't really high on the agenda. Though this season, with the ante being upped and the pursuit of second cat on, i have been for the past six weeks or so.

I actually quite like it, its a pain actually shaving them, i hate shaving my face as well some of you may have noticed! But most of the girls i know actually like it too, as long as you don't leave it too long between shaves and let them get all 'spikey'!

On the plus side, clean shaven legs look better in lycra than hairy ones, by far. And the true level of tone is revealed (of your calfs in particular) which i find the ladies like in particular

Its also quite amusing when your legs are smoother than a girls!

[quote="seanhogan(CondorMan)"]The other 4 are ...... :twisted: ?

I've said too much already - number five is 'making the other four public.'

But between you and me, to give you an idea of the sort of emotional tightrope it is my fate to walk, I can reveal that another is...

...shaving my sideburns up to the temples.

Glad you asked?

i find it rather enjoyable shaving my legs  ...i like to see the finished result!
the thing i dont like though is that for the next 24hours they feel really strange in trousers or in bed...they feel kind of de-sensitised and wet.. almost like there numb (but there not), i think its because your hairs are used for feeling, and so when deprived of that the legs feel almost numbish. but after 24 hours and the stubble returns and i start to feel again!
another downside is you get a few raised eye brows in college when your trousers ride up...

but on the up side, i have heard that when you fall off and get road burn it does not get as infected, the plasters dont hurt when you pull them off, and i guess it could make a tiiiiny bit of difference with the wind resistants.

only thing i need now is a tan...(not out the bottle adam  )

[quote]...However, if you're follicles are of a darker hue...

One of the reasons I started, my legs were quite hairy and then there's the ginger hair clashing issue.
[quote]downside is you get a few raised eye brows in college when your trousers ride up...

What are you doing to make your trousers ride up, showing a bit of leg to try and get a lift home?

Okay, now who's going to start the "how high up do you shave" debate?

Nothing wrong with getting a tan out of a bottle, just make sure it is a sensible colour, safer and easier than trying to get a real tan.

Cheers
