Me too,

You can see this happening, you get knocked down by an idiot, driving like a lunatic but it will be your fault if you are not on the cycle lane that is painted on the pavement littered with broken glass!

Highway Code -- Sign the Petition

Postby John Czernobay » Fri Apr 20, 2007 3:53 pm

Nice one Kieran, well done.

Alex is absolutely spot on; an incident will occur whereby the cyclist can be blamed because they didn't use the cycle lane or whatever. The result, insurances are void, premiums increase, greater personal liability, all equals....... less people take up cyclying.

Come on Agreeables, lets have some more signatures :D

See you all tomorrow on the CR. It's worth every signature.

Signed it.

Until cycle lanes are installed by cyclists not motorist they will never be a useable option.

Why do they paint them between parking bays? Outside Butler's there are 2 sets of parking bays, and some genius thought to paint a cycle lane about 15 metres (if that) long between them!!

Nice one, you cycle round the car, quickly cut across in front of their bonnet to get to the cycle lane for a couple of pedal revolutions, before swinging back out in to the traffic.

Thats it marco!

So i remember this one coming up a few months ago, we beat it then and im sure we will again...

Last time the CTC put out a standard email for people to send to their MP's, have they done this again?

I remember at the time my local MP is Chris Grayling (con) and he was shadow transport minister at the time so was understandably keen to throw a spanner in the works. Only now he's shadow leader of the house or something like that... anyway, is the attack the MP a good idea again?

Does anybody know any major CTC contacts to see if they are doing anything?
