p.s. And I do have the full Zebra outfit worn by Cippolini a few years back and I love it. Only comes out on special occasions, like when the sun comes out, or my first ever time trial.

here we go :)

I'm not keen on pro kits. They date so quickly, and what if 'your' team ceases to exist, loses your hero or signs up an ar$e? I think you shoud wear:

1 ACC kit (obviously)
2 Your local shop kit (GBs, Dauphin, Sigma, Pearson, although paradoxically not Mosquito Bikes)
3 If your bike has a kit to match, you can wear that - so the rather fetching celeste Bianchi kit was ok, but only on a Bianchi
4 Retro - and we're talking Tom Simpson here, not Chris Boardman
5 Plain

all (apart from 1) with black shorts and white socks.

Do I sound like a fashion guru yet?

I quite like this combo. The bracelet sets off the yellow trim quite nicely:

this season i will be mostly wearing

I note that Prendas Ciclismo are now selling a replica of this one - time to sell my original?

this one is pretty cool and has some history but there's a UK club who've taken the design (and the name?)

I'm not alone on that then, but you forgot to specify short socks. That used to go without saying, but in these times of black socks on a bike...

This season my Dad will be mostly wearing his St. Raphael jersey. :)

The Prenda retro's can be a bit pricey, but as soon as they do a PDM or Skil one I'm waving my cash so I can pay homage to the God that is Sean Kelly.

I think the addsicombe shorts are disgusting! Black shorts everytime with the ACC jersey!

Then shop kits have gotta have the matching shorts! My sigma jersey with black shorts would not be a good look.

White socks all the way... especially with nice smooth tanned legs

At the end of the day, if the kit is coordinated its gonna look good, but no un blue shorts with an ACC jesrey or anything like that!

Plus, if you have the legs, kit does not matter... You might be the coolest looking guy/girl on the bike, but if your dropped every week then whats the point!

If your club has well designed kit, I can't really see the attraction of spending £70 plus on a trade team outfit.

I must admit I like the cipo replica outfit or anything special like that. Retro is pretty cool in the right circumstances.

I'm amazed that anyone would even consider buying a yellow/polka/green jersey. Surely you're setting yourself up for a massive p. take if you turn up dressed like that?

I like 'em, they're like the old pro shorts - classic black with the team stripe up the leg.

I have a mark1 version where the yellow stripe went from the bottom of one leg up around the backside and down the other leg.

Looked good until it got wet  :!:
