That was a great day out , a big thankyou to Paul for organising / leading .
I would have posted sooner but after being out all day Saturday, even going near the forum on Sunday could have tipped Mrs A over the edge.
Brian , glad to hear you are ok . I keep seeing you flying through the air in slow motion heading straight for that JCB
. Still cant work out how it happened.
After a great lunch in Tunbridge Wells ( Sean tucking into a full English an a pint of lager was a giveaway that the staion was beckoning ) the two Pauls and I set off.
This was going to be unknown territory for me as I've never done over 75 miles in one go before .
Mr T led the way as usual tapping out a fair old pace with me and Paul following close behind.

more of a grimmace methinks
On we went through beautiful rolling countryside with the occasional surprisingly steep climbs .
The miles were passing by pretty quickly and so I missed my computer rolling through the big 100
and only noticed when I'd clocked up 103.
My legs felt great at this point and apart from some manageable aches and pains everything was in pretty good shape.
The big lift came when we saw a road sign with Canterbury 23 miles and knew we were almost there . At this point I started working out what time I would get home and thinking oh dear
We rolled up to Canterbury station and I think we got on a train about 8pm
The two Pauls got off at Orpington and I went on to London Bridge....not the best place to be dressed in lycra on a Saturday night
I arrived home not exactly to the Heroes Welcome I was hoping for at 9:45 with 135 miles on the clock.
Cant wait to do it again
