It's just dawned on me that it is the World Champs rather than just a world cup round.

I am interested but I'm not sure how long it will hold my attention.
I know they are good but I like riding my bike more than watching other people.

I will have a think.

Yes Sid they say the Worlds is 3 times bigger than a WC.

I'll be up for mountaineering. Last time with Will we also drove from Ft William to an Island (Mull?) to see the peacocks.

Cushtie and I are going to the European SS champs in a Fortnight.
I plan to ride up and down the Ventoux on the SS :D

I was thinking of fitting some on mine in preparation for the Ventoux!

They are only 1.4" travel though!

[quote="marco"]also how about we do a gondola trip up to the worlds dh course and ride back down it?

I walked up it (on a crappy rental bike) and then rode down.

Took a lot of time.

The campsite looks pretty good.

It's very close to the centre of the sprawling metropolis which is Aviemore

I think I will camp and just eat in cafe's etc.

I thought Aviemore had purpose-built trails and assumed the race would be there - ?
