I know it was discussed some time back but just to get a clean list (see also posting on "Do you want a new area on the forum").

So, who's doing the Fred Whitton? The idea is just to get a list of names and to see if any travel/cars can be shared. If it catches on we could do this for all sportives.

To get the ball rolling :

I am going up by train on Friday staying overnight in Kendal then staying in Coniston for Saturday and Sunday nights before heading back by train on Monday.

i will be down in Devon on that day for the Dartmoor Classic which should be easier than the ' Fred ' ... The following weekend me and Connor will be in Emmerdale territory for the Etape ...

I've just confirmed my booking at Bluebird Lodge and they mistakenly thought I'd booked two rooms.

I cancelled one, so If anyone is looking for somewhere to stay give them a ring on 01539 441442

I am doing it as well, (though not in the same room as Apples).

Going up by train on Friday evening and staying in Ambleside YHA. Then riding on the Coniston Holly How YHA for Saturday and Sunday. Returning by train on Monday moring.

I will look out for you all. I plan to set off pretty early on the day 6 - 6:30, so it doesn't get dark or so I can get in with reasonable time, and so I can slip stream all the people who come flying past while I am resting.

I know it's a bit early to be looking at weather but it looks like an early start might avoid most of the rain.
