Just spoke to simon again, he has indeed broken a part of his elbow. After going to St. Peters hospital in Chertsey he transfered to Lewisham (nearer his house, yet at the cost of £100 [ouch!])
After many xrays and consultants later, they have decided they need to operate on it. To place wires between his Bicep and the Offending piece of bone that has become detached. He is still in hospital waiting to be plastered up so he can go home overnight. They hope to operate within the next couple of days.
He will however be off work and off the bike for 3-4 weeks (which isn't as bad as he nor many others including myself thought). And the doc days he can get on the turbo a few days after the op. Though i think he is keen to get his bike properly checked out as you mentioned Andrew. The problem is Simon works on building sites (i can't quite remember what exactly he does, but obviously he can't do any manual labour while his elbow is on the mend). So any advice on British Cyclings insurance cover regarding being off work due to a crash would be greatly received...?
Thanks,
Adam
