Top stuff Marco. One gear, no suspension, who needs all that modern stuff!
BTW What's the easiest cheapest way to put a MTB together? Wouldn't use it that much (but interested in joining some of these Sunday runs) so don't want to spend much (ultimate budget build
). E.g don't care if it's 2nd/3rd/4th hand, paint chipped and scratched. All I'd want is something that worked and was fairly basic, definately want hard tail, no discs (for simplicity and obvious cost reasons). Probably better to get gears than singlespeed. Don't want anything too heavy and some of the cheapo bikes seem to weigh a ton.
Thanks for any advice (any ebay searches confuse a bit as I don't know about MTBs or which equipment is decent, so can't really filter the good from the bad).
Does anyone know of an old crate that they/friend want to get rid of and would fit a short-arse? (I'm 5'6" - is that a 17" MTB frame?)
Sorry for hi-jacking but I knew the thread would get a lot of views from people in the know.
