Fingers crossed next weekend's CR. Arm and calf have healed really well with the magic gel. Hip rash is getting there, just a bit slower, should be fine in a week though.

I'll be at the Evening 10 on Tuesday. Not riding (my "Project 10" bike will have to wait for it's first outing) but said I'd give Jon a hand, he said "push off" but also wanted help so... :?

Yesterday was my first run out with the training group and boy that was fast

I got to CSS at 9am so by the time we set off I'd cooled down a bit and for the first few minutes as my legs were burning I was wondering if I'd made the right decision

George is just an animal :!:

As Stu and Steve have said he just kept powering off the front , you could here the clunk as he shifted under power and stamped on the cranks.

He kept looking behind with that manic grin and I I'm thinking "is he trying to drop us all or is he just concerned he might be dropping us"

I think I managed to hang on ok and was feeling pretty pleased with myself until Paul told me at the cafe he was feeling a bit hungover....

Rejoined the training group for the assault on Box Hill , this time with a few more including Mark M and we settled into a decent pace.

We got to the bottom of the zig zags and I was starting to wish I'd had two bits of cake at the cafe and I gradually dropped of the back of George Paul and Stu . Then Kieran came past .

At the top and after refuelling with bakewell tart we were off again. My legs were starting to suffer now and by the time we got back to Coulsdon I hade to make another stop, and another first for me the ACC cafe !

After a lovely cup of coffe and an Agreeable chat it was back over the cols towards Wallington and home to Tooting .

Thanks for a great ride today chaps

Yeah, forgot to give a mention to Alex's new C50 8), nice one.

How many was that on the club run saturday? 4 - blimey, is that a number you can still class as eliteist (sp?), or does that now class it as common?

Only kidding :) , great to see so many more bling bikes this year compared to previous years. Everybody must be richer this year for some reason? Or more likely their wives have finally capitulated after years of being given numerous fantastical reasons why they just have to have a new bike. Oh, or was that just me :!:

Bad luck about the crash Adam, I hope its not as bad as it looks.

Any damage to the bike?

I am determined to do the CR myself after a few weeks off. I could do with a Box Hill run.
