handicap this thursday 7/6/07

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Basically flat but the finish is a sharp left, followed by 300m rise, then a 100m drop then the last 200m or so uphill to the finish. Slightly steeper than box hill i reckon, but nothing drastic... Splits up the finish a little bit.

Must be between about 3rd to 8th in line i reckon for the last corner if you want to be in with a decent shout...

The corners not that bad if your in a single line. Just make sure you get a good feel for it through the rest of the race...

it was good fun but nothing that exciting happened as such.
i was set off in the second easiest group and did most of the work for once  8) . i put in some long turns, sometimes riding off the front up the hill a few times without knowing

at one point i got in a small break with another guy which lasted a lap and a bit, but we got caught. :(

it all came togther nicely at the end but both paul and i were completely swamped for the sprint and sat up  both finished somewhere middleish.

next time i think ill ask to go in a faster group.
