Carl- it is quite a punt from palace, my mate cycles to me- Merstham- from Half moon lane and it takes him an hour, i reckon it is still another 30/40 mins to the start, at least you will be warmed up
A train to redhill will give you about 30 mins warm up / dorking will give you about 10/15 mins ride.
BTW Dorking is the name of the station- not a verb.

Can't imagine I'll get that close to Sean, be happy if the gap doesn't increase.

a) He's riding very strongly at the mo.
b) I'll be riding fixed gear.

You should find pushing me off easier than I did the other way round last week.

Hmm, is it worth getting the train to Dorking and have a trial run through the course first?

You could pootle round just to get the feel, George and Paul drove round last week for a recce- then proceeded to rip it up on yer actual proper.
It would serve as a good warm up - by doing a few digs ( no shovel).

With a 10 you're straight out the blocks and full on for the next 20-30 mins 'pending if you are "kenwood" or deadwood

Simon

Hi. Having ridden it last fortnight for the first time...I would say definitely YES. I know it's just a bit of 'fun' and we're not taking it too seriously but it's a chance for a warm up - which is a must - and to get to know the 'profile' - it's not flat! I got there later than intended and did it cold and blind...and suffered.

Best wishes

Jon

Great turn out for tomorrow. I'll have to make sure I get away quick Marco, don't want to see your Roberts again too soon. :D

Start sheet is posted in the Racing section of the forum. 29 riders, so there's one place left for anyone who wants to try and catch Mr Viney.

There a few people (Carl, Adam, Daniel) who's email adresses I don't have. So if you want the start sheet and stuff by email, PM your addresses to me.
