I wasn't expecting much from this and was not disappointed. I had been in France (eating and drinking) for 3 days of the week and had not touched my bike since riding 8 miles of last week's 50 before puncturing. Added to that I (and family) had to be relayed back from France after clutch going on car.
Because of that I rode to the start a la Mr PVT. It was absolutely stonking day for TTing, no wind and when I started it was warming nicely and my legs felt good when warming up.
Started steady and just kept hammering. On the way back, up over the Broadbridge Heath roundabout, and rejoined the carriage way. Front tyre feels a bit funny, no just my imagination after last week. Got to the layby before the next roundabout and that was game over. My watch was showing 43 minutes to there so I was on for a PB quite easily. My guestimate was that I had about 5/6 miles left.
Got back to the HQ in the huff and caught the train home.
I hope the day was more kind to Tamar.
