UK Etape - 40 quid, no transfers allowed. Dragon Ride - £23.50, organisers set up a forum with a section for transfers. Have I missed something?

The whole thing does seem to be run with commercial interests first and participants enjoyment second.

Jon,

Its yours if you want it.

As mentioned by others, you would have to pretend to me though.

I see that at the end, 'refreshments are available to purchase', which is a nice touch. And the 'special' British Cyclosportive energy food pack is touted as offering a £10 saving on the RRP - except that when tax and postage are added, that elusive £10 is snatched straight back, like the coin on a string in the opening credits of Top Cat. Oh, and there's the over-a-barrel £13 for the trip back to London.

Still looking forward to it, though. How is everyone planning on getting to and from Greenwich? Nothing for it but to ride it, no?

I think riding to the start is the best idea.....I can swing by and knock for you if that suits (its like being 10 again)

Has anyone got their rider pack yet ?

There's a rider info document attached to the last couple of newsletters. Apart from that, you pick up everything you need when registering the day before.

That reminds me - where's my Dragon Ride pack? :?
