[quote]I think riding to the start is the best idea.....I can swing by and knock for you if that suits (its like being 10 again)

...but will he be allowed out to play?

You are getting excited aren't you, it's still 2 weeks away yet and you've both got to slog around the Dragon first!

While we're at it though are you riding over on Saturday for the registration, I thought it mightn't be a bad idea so I know how far it is and where I've got to ride to.

As long as I eat up all my liver and bacon, have tidied my room and done my homework, I should be OK to come out and play on the day. My shirt will be clean on that day, though, so I'll have to be careful. And I'll have to promise to stay away from those bigger boys, and, of course, girls.

There is the car parking voucher for Saturday in the online information pack, but slogging over in the car on a Saturday might be a bit of a drag. Added to which it would be good to fine-tune the route to ride on the Sunday. So riding both days is looking like the smart move.

My start time is 0745 so I'll train it to Victoria and cycle across to Greenwich. I shall not wear ACC kit so as not to embarass the club by my expected pathetic performance, not helped by doing the Dragon the week before as warm up.

Hoping my new triple will help me up those Kentish Alps

You might've moved it Adrian, but why don't they send all the stuff through to us for the UK Etape as well. More shoddy organisation rearing it's ugly head. I've had nothing apart from one or two vague and general emails from the organisers.

It's not too bad for us Londonium dwellers to sign on at Greenwich Park on the day before, but hardly convenient for everyone else doing it from all over the country/Europe.

Our £40 clearly isn't going on administration. As easy as finding a fart in a jacuzzi working out what's what with this ride. I hope it's a bit better organised for the pros. Roll on Olympics and more displays of inept organisation.

Sorry, rant finished for now.
