Free day trip to France 23rd June.

Postby Andrew G » Mon Jun 11, 2007 2:08 pm

Alan Malarkey, Jon Avery, and myself are off to France for a daytrip on a freebie thanks to SeaFrance.

Sean was coming but now wants to see the Smithfield Nocturne instead, and Brighton and back was mentioned a while ago.

0930 (UK Time) ferry out. Return ferry 21:00 (French time so still back in blighty at 21:30).

Planned route is from Calais head through quieter lanes to Boulogne / Wimereux area (30 miles-ish) for a lunch stop. Then we would head back via the coast road (25-30 miles - hopefully wind behind) to Calais in time for Alan's 18:30 ferry. Jon, myself, and whoever then stuff our faces in Calais before the 21:00 crossing.

Would be a shame to let this go to waste. Don't worry about speed, this is planned as a nice day out riding in France, not training or racing.

See below for Sean's message, you may need to let SeaFrance know your name to transfer ticket.

[quote="seanieh.ThePengeAvenger©"]Any takers? As I'm off to Smithfield's for beer, bikes and maybe some....

This voucher is up for grabs. i might need a name, so any takers?

[quote]Dear Mr Hogan,

Thank you for your e-mail.

I am sorry to read that you appear not to have received a response from us. I have checked our e-mails and it appears that we did not receive your original e-mail.

I would like to advise you that you can amend this booking to travel between 16th - 24th June or you can transfer the booking for someone else to use.

Please let me know what you wish to do with the booking and I will make the necessary arrangement for you.

With kind regards

Forgot to say you will need to be able to get yourself to and from Dover. Alan is on a different return ferry, and My car will be full with Jon, myself and bikes. Sorry.

Fine with me Paul, you need to speak to Sean to transfer the ticket. It will be steady though as Alan will have just got back from 1000 km off roading in Spain.
