I did my first 5k in two years tonight and managed about 19"10.
It was a charity run in Battersea Park and we had quite a few people from work taking part. Including Harley the guy who did the 145 miles marathon two weeks ago (still with a dodgy knee since) and Jerym who did the Stockholm marathon the past weekend.
Those two still managed around 18"25 and we got the first place for "property developpers" team of 4 . Kim (who works in a gym) got first womens in just under 22" I think so two big magnums of Champagne in the bag.
Surprisingly my legs were Ok but I was having trouble adjusting my breathing to the pace and my heart seemed to be overworking - maybe because it's used to the supported sport of cycling. Great feeling afterwards though.
