Bad news on Family Front

Postby Marek » Fri Jun 15, 2007 9:28 pm

Hello Guys,

I just thought I would let you know that my misses gave birth to a little girl on Weds night. Unfortunately the baby is extremely ill with a condition called Hydrops.

It is a nightmare, she is in intensive care and we are not sure if she is going to make it as the condition is very rare and difficult to treat.

If she does get better she is likely to be in hospital for a significant amount of time. We have named our little girl Amelia and all things going well I hope she will be ok.

I know I don't race with ACC anymore, but I do still see myself as an ACC rider.

If any of you guys are racing this weekend then I want you to go out there and try and win and dedicate it to my little girl as I think it would make my day and my wifes day to see her name out there and to show that people are thinking of her and wishing her well.

This is the worst thing I have ever been through and I would not wish it on anyone. The not knowing is awful, keep your fingers crossed guys.

Cheers

Marek.....

Marek be strong for Yourself, your Wife, and most of all your daughter AMELIA.

I dont race for the club but when I go for that sprint tomorrow for the Cafe I shall dig in deep dig in hard and find all that I have in my rather large fuel tankl and I shall Dedicate what ever place I finish to Amelia, You and your Wife.

My Family wish you well.

Nick,Maxine and Co. x

I now believe that the cafe sprint tomorrow will be one of the Hardest contested In an age.....
We must not allow the clock and the calendar to blind us to the fact that each moment of life is a miracle and mystery.

Marek all my thoughts and best wishes are with Amelia and your family.

Things like this put our trivial aches and pains into context and I'll certainly be thinking about that when racing this weekend.
