Very nice Stu, I knew you were a sensible lad and had Campag on before. Before I'd read that you switched the stuff across I was going to comment on how nice it was to see that you were sticking with a proper groupset. :D
[quote]Andrew would be proud of that one!

 Tyre decals lined up with valves, short cable exposure at the front and rear mech, nice. 8)

Very nice. Can't believe your mum's letting you keep it in the kitchen though. I wouldn't have got away with that.

[quote]I see you have upgraded to Campagnolo

Another has seen the light - well done Stu, but even to say the S word in earshot of a Merckx is blasphemous.

I'm still waiting for my cash  and my son has just sub'd some more off me

Stu

I has been really good fun riding with you over the last year or so but now it looks like I stand even less chance of hanging onto you wheel.

[quote]Will you be wearing the apron?

if you think it will help with the aerodynamics?

i went for my first proper ride on it today. it was brilliant, i thought i was riding on a cloud :P

it was so sharp and responsisve, that when i first got on it and accelerated i nearly fell over sideways by the way the bike reacted so amazingly

after half a mile or so, i got used to it, and saw it more as an advantage. it seamed to corner effortlessly, and felt like a good stable platform.

over not so good roads it was much less jolty than alluminium and seamed so soak up the bumps, and yet still felt as stiff as a errrm..well there isnt a simile or metaphor that does it justice

up box hill i was about 0.3 - 0.5 mph faster on certain sections than before, though i dont know if that was just the bike or im getting fitter...part of me wants it to be the bike

at the end of this particular ride i averaged 20.3, and the last time i rode this ride 3 weeks ago i got 19.5 mph. some of that is probably a bit more fitness, but i dont think i would have made that much progress in 3 weeks, so i think the bike played a part too 8)
