Picked it up from OYB London Bridge yesterday. Needed to take the whole afternoon off to do it - my chappie there v knowledgeable and helpful, but talks WAY too much and appears to have ADD :? Apart from that, can't fault 'em.

Was about take it out for a spin to Box Hill with Apples when the heavens opened and I used what I now call my training bike instead  Was glad I did, because between Tooting and Brixton on the way back got wetter than I ever have in my life :o .

So it stays pristine for a couple of days longer before getting caked with Welsh mud and clag:

The front and rear reflectors will, of course, be coming off and stuck where they belong - on Mrs A's bike :)

Do all bikes come with a health warning these days? That doesn't come off :x

Feel I should go with the fashion and change my username, but to what? The Cannondale Kid has been used in the past, I think. And besides - I'm 41

The Cannondale Commando ???

I was contemplating changing my nick. But can't settle on anything suitable. The bike is called Ruby so that will do I think :)

Look forward to seeing it in the flesh Saturday week. Maybe just has all the warnings because it's American and they need to do so much arse covering in case of legal cases.

Nice bike Adrian

I rode one of these earlier in the year as a courtesy bike from Butlers.

Very nice bike, strong wheels, nice choice and a compact for the Welsh and Surrey hills 8)

Thanks, all. All my cycling kit clashes horribly with the colour, but I can't worry about that now. Hang on - N*** C**** gilet, come on down!

Andrew, interesting that you should mention arse-covering and commando in the same post

George: yep, the compact ideal for going back up those Surrey hills I didn't mean to go down

Sylv, I rode one the same size for a week in I***y, but yeah, come Sunday evening I'll have a pretty good idea of whether or not I've got it set up right :)
