OK it's done. I will get it printed in A3 next week and awaaaaaay we go. I used your suggested words and dropped the ACC banner in at the bottom of the page between "Addiscombe Cycling Club" and "The Beginners Choice"

Hey folks - I showed this to Mrs Snoop - she likes the idea. Made a good point - we need to get this into a whole bunch of places additional to the caff (in Coulsdon I'll hit them on way back from Horsham 10 tomorrow) and GBs - I wonder how many novices'll see it there....

Anyway - if you'd be willing to help distribute this around the Croydon/Coulsdon area, if you know someone with a shop or summat then pm me and I'll email you the word document for you to print and post.

Howzabout Evans in West Croydon? Gets plenty of trade, plus people walking past, and there's a bus stop right outside that gets a lot of people lurking about needing something to read.

If you email me your do-dad Cap'n Snoop then I'll print a few copies and pop in on Sunday. I'll also drop in JB Sports, Footlocker etc and see if they'll put one up. (You don't ask, you don't get. We may not get, but I'll ask anyway). Does anyone know if there's still a sports shop in West Wickham as I could drop one in there too. I'll also drop in to Evans at London Bridge on the way to work on Monday.

I can also try Sainsbury's in Seldon. The supermarket's are keen to promote healthy eating, and sponsor World Cups, Olympics and so on, so you'd like to think they'll help out with a local club. Could be worth others trying their local branches.

Oh Snoop does the poster have the web address on it? I think this would be a good idea as people can check it out beforehand. May help recruit as some might be put off just turning up "blind" not really knowing who we are and what we do.

..great idea guys, i think it will def generate alot of interest an bring out new riders.

Another thought is to advertise at my workplace, I work in Nestle in Croydon, and although I don't think I can put a poster up, there is an online free Ads page, on the intranet, I could use your text Marco and the link to the site, gimmi the nod and its done.

Poster update.

My Dad has given one to Young's Cycles in Coney Hall and they are happy to display.

Gave one to Bike+ who are putting it on their notice board.

Evans London Bridge - Gave one to them but it isn't up yet as they want to double check with head office. Didn't think it would be a problem though, so fingers crossed.

Sainsbury's Selsdon - Don't put things in their window, only head office promotions.

Whilst there I popped in to the library in the same building. So we will have one on the notice board in Selsdon library soon. Others could try their local library as they all have a notice board.

Had a brain wave. Cycling's health and fitness so popped over to the doctors surgery. They have to check with the practice manager but hopefully we'll have one in Farleigh Road Surgery as well.

I haven't had a chance to get in to central Croydon and won't before Monday. If someone can pop one in to Evans West Croydon I'd be grateful. Let me know if you can and I won't go there.

The Library and Doctors got me thinking though that we don't only need to target a cycling shop. Anybody can cycle and we are trying to attract beginners. Could be worth popping one in to your local doctors as they should help support a fitness drive, and a lot of patients may well want to get fitter, or be getting told they need to.
