Blimey weve gone from 1st to 10th. We probably lost a minute due to traffic and lack of marshalling.

That has to be the worst marshalled event this year.

Toks - I can shed a little light.....

Firstly for the Wildside RT, Chris Parlett missed the start - so they were riding a three-up not a four-up. The McNamara brothers are both great road racers - but neither are particularly experienced time-trialers - not by comparison with their road-racing.

As for the VC Meudon boys - I don't believe Roger Morgan is still an Elite. He got married last year and didn't do a lot of racing.

Finally, there are elites and elites, if you get my drift. The gap between the 'stronger' elites and the 'weaker' ones is about the same as the gap between a 'weaker' elite and an 'avarage' fourth-cat IMHO - i.e. not all elites are fully-deserving on the title.
