Addiscombe vs Norwood Paragon 10/07/07

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

You could use it for an eveing '10'

We're an evening '10' there this Tues, sure you'd be welcome

Adam, you can find the course here

I knew it was road race circuit  . Do all the NP Evening 10s there! No wonder we (well some of us) struggled last year, at least Jon won the overall. 8)

Just checked the magic book, the 21 mile Hardriders event was Sunday 18th March this year so you may have already started racing.
Sylv... have you pre entered Guildford yet?

Im gonna do both i reckon, a 10 is hardly gonna knacker you out is it! Just have some recovery drink or something! I did a 50km 3/4 race at hillingdon before Crawley but i don't reckon it had that much effect.

Lets regain this title boys!

Haven't entered but will look into it tomorrow. Have to make sure I can get there on time too.

Ok i'll do the 10 as well. If it's not too early!

From "fat nav" himself,
Drag up thru bletchingley, small down hill section, drag up thru the village, over the brow of the hill and down over M23 bridge into Nutfield, left at the crown- coopers hill road, excellent downhill section , new smooth tarmac, you should get to about 38/45 mph down here, under railway bridge and a small uphill section.
Plunge down past henhaw farm and a flat section for about 3/4 mile, gradual rise 3/4%, past the dog and duck ( i'll have a "hen" please), round the corner, small drag up to the top, down hill thru 2 sweeping bends- gotta push hard round here as its not all that down, flat bit to the junction. Watch out for gravel, sharp left, starts to rise slightly, not much but yer legs will tell you.
Up the hill to the Marl pond, guess its about 10%- but not for long, over the top and its all down hill for about a mile at least- nice swooping bends, try to stay middle of the road as its a bit rough left and far right.
Small climb 8% and then plunge down hill over the bridge and then cane it, really pretty here- you could be in the dales.
The road slowly goes uphill, then kicks to about 6/7%, when you can see daylight you are nearly there, small plateau then a final kick up and you're there.
Vomit in bush, smile.

Start time is Tuesday 7.45pm with the start in the layby off the A25 on the way to Godstone out of Bletchingley - this is the same as used in the CDCA 21. Course is suitable for TT bikes.

Yep I had a rocket on one overtake me just before the first left last year, I over took him on the descent on my road bike (more stable), but then once it flattened out he was off never to be seen again. :D

I doubt it had anything to do with his superior ability.

John,
I've got a nifty spreadsheet formatted for the times etc and will bring out my laptop.
I might be persuaded to ride (?) against my better judgement......if you put me off number 1

It's a deal Paul, you can be number one. As defending champion I'll be at the other end of the field as last man off.

I've received a list of riders from NP, and it looks like we're up against some tasty opposition, so all you fast guys (testers & roadies alike) we need you!
