On the way up to Selsdon park hotel , i bumped into George taking the Caisse d'Epargne team for a little spin so i tagged along.

We did the club run (with photographers and film crew hanging out of cars as we left Purley) heading back over box hill - SH*T they go fast up hill - they basically just wanted to go and stretch their legs away from any traffic but they cruzed along at the same speed up box hill that they did on the flat. Valverde shot off the front with George and i tryed to hold on to tha autobus - George got dropped along with me, but got paced back by following team car and mechanics.

had a couple of 'interesting' moments at junctions when they thought they were in France and stayed on the right side of the road into oncoming traffic - pissed a load of drivers off. Oh and they dont do red lights! Quality!

they were generally having a good laugh and playing around a bit - did get a bit nervous when Valverde decided to draft some bloke in his convertable leaving only a couple of inches gap then jumping past the car - dosnt he know hes got a Tour to win in a few days?

anyway a top ride!

Why in the last pic, which is presumably Caisse's truck, is there a (perhaps Cofidis?) Wilier and a Time (forget who rides those) among the Pinarellos? :shock:
