You can get a live audio feed on the eurosport website but no pictures.

Try http://www.cyclingfans.com/.

They show links to sites showing live streaming video and audio feeds.
For the Tour it says:
RTL - have limited coverage (wasn't on yet and not a good picture when I tried it). Played through windows media player.
Serbian TV - Just checked and not showing yet and I don't have a Serbian tv guide handy to see when it starts. Currently a black and white film, picture quality was very good but in a small window so could be tricky for wide shots of the Tour (you might have to rest your nose on the screen!) You need Realplayer for this one.

Both the above are linked to n the right hand side of the cyclingfans site.

Also shows links to on screen Tickers, and you can watch the SRM data of riders if you really want.

Go to the Cyclingfans website NOW.

Scroll down and on the right hand side under "live video streams" click on VERSUS

This is streaming now and showing through windows media player. Commentary Phil Ligget and Paul Sherwin. Basically what they'll use for ITV highlights. I think they work live for US television.

Versus?

Possibly the VERSion to be screened in the USa?

It was there, honest. Just checked and gone now so maybe they were told to remove it.

Had a look at their website http://www.versus.com/tdf/ and can't find a streaming video.

Can only suggest that you might have to keep checking and if it appears again, or on another day, click to lauch it before it goes.

Good site cyclingfans though as it shows links to live video and audio feeds from all over the place. I found it during the Giro when you could get a stream of RAI.

From the cyclingfans website.
Notes:

- Versus live video streaming: Questions regarding the live stream have been sent to the Versus internet department. Many of you had the same questions, notably since the stream exists (and is still running as of this morning), under what conditions, if any, is it available for public consumption? We have been told we should receive a response shortly. We will post an update on this matter either later today or tomorrow, Thursday.

- Some of you have sent in links to alternative streams. We haven't posted many of the country-specific streams but we will check these and others out today.

Yes, how does that work, exactly? Just curious

I like way they're so proud of the 'green' credentials of the huge f**k-off Subaru SVUs - they're "built on a plant with absolutely no landfill". Hey, maybe we've got you all wrong!

Any stage can be enlivened by US adverts. They had a 30 minute advert for a portable/ folding fishing reel (in it's own balistic nylon pouch before the Tour coverage started).
