Yellow jersey push aside, Andersen noted the loss of a key teammate, Paris-Roubaix champion Stuart O'Grady. "I would like to thank Stuart for his great work for the team for the whole week. We are sending our thoughts to the hospital where he is now; we will go on and try to win for him." The Aussie touched wheels with a rider, crashed on the descent of the Hauteville climb, and is reported to have broken five ribs, his shoulder blade and collarbone.

That's gotta hurt.

Bad day at the office for the men from Oz - Rogers out, O'Grady out, and looks like the Green jersey could be going back to Norway with McEwan eliminated.

Overall chances (Swiss paper)
Le barométre

Michael Rasmussen. 1er.

Today is a real doddle isn't it. They start halfway up the mountain already and then only have one real climb (it's a bit off to suggest the Telegraphe and Galibier are separate) then it's a freewheel competition down into Briancon

They should try the Marmotte, now that would sort them out

I really hope that Rasmussen does it.

I wasn't impressed by either valverde or evans on Sunday. They just followed Morous(dodgy spelling) wheel. They need to be more aggresive to win.

Ta,

Graham.

Evans would be able to give Aj a lesson or two in wheelsucking. Someone should explain to him that if he wants to win then he has to get to the front at some point :!:

That graph does make it look like it’s all downhill! Rasmussen or Evans, as long as it's an ex-mountain biker (soon to be ex-ex for Rasmussen) :)

Would prefer the Dane though

Evans always look like he's about to cry

As long as Rasmussen builds a lead of about half an hour over everybody in the mountains, that should be enough to make up for all the falling off and bike changes he'll do in the two time trials.
As we were all watching it in Huw's lounge it was obvious to me at least that Evans has no balls
Ooo thats a bit harsh Sean. I think he's literally on the limit when it comes to the climbs and hang on is literally all he can do. Unlike Lifeharmer he at least looks like his trying. Personally I like Evans -but he has got a rather funny squeaky voice though

Yes it's the armchair specialist syndrom :-)

He did say after that if he'd only had the strength he'd gone for it, if you're going to admit to that to the world I for one would tend to believe it (and can relate to it). Unless those tactics really are that, er tactical.

Evans was pretty 'discret' even during the Prologue warm-up. Look, here he is hiding from my camera...

Not like Boonen

who will no doubt be hiding away in the self-help group today.
