Morning folks,
Just a quick note to everyone to say that if you fancy doing something different, or fancy a new challenge if you went to Brighton the other week, there will be an alternate CR which will do the CTC Hilly 50km loop.
This starts and finishes at Box hill and takes in plenty of hills for 35 miles, so add on to and from Box Hill for your total distance. This is a challenging ride but a very good one.
Graham, Hal and co will probably set a reasonable pace, but I am happy to lead an all comers group. I will wait at the top of each hill to regroup and makes sure everyone gets back to Box Hill for a slab of flapjack/treacle tart or whatever takes your fancy.
If you haven't done this ride before, it is quite a tough route and the cafe stop will not be until we get back to Box Hill (50 miles-ish) so make sure you have a couple of bottles and some food (energy bar or two) to nibble on the way round.
I'll print off some route cards so that people can go at their own pace if they want.
All are welcome, so find out what the small gears on your bike are for.
Cheers,
Andrew.
P.S. It will be weather dependant as some of the descents are best not done in the wet, so if it's raining in the morning I won't do it.
