Evening 10 - 24 July

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

I've been forgotten.

Sorry Jon, I thought I'd said I'd ride solo if I couldn't get a Jill. Can I slide in at number 9?

And while you're at it, Jon, if you've got room for one more sad singleton...

Andrew & Mike, you can fight it out with Rob R-E for slots 8, 9 & 24.

Cheers Jon.

Andrew, I suggest you take 8, I'll take 9 and see if I can catch you  and we'll leave Robert to hunt down the Paragon.

How does that sound?

Sounds fair as that's where we'd be on handicap anyway.

Makes no odds to me anyway, you'd soon be out of sight as will Paul and Tamar :D . Best if I don't go last or we'll keep everyone waiting.

Yep, the loneliest 10 I've ridden.

That's the first time I've come out of the slip road and on to the first drag and seen nothing, nobody, nada.

I was well pleased to keep Mike behind me though, I glanced back after I crossed the line and saw he was about 20 seconds back, close but no cigar. Always nice not to get caught.

The only time I saw anyone was approaching the turn which threw me a bit as I'd got used to ridding a true "race against the clock" and I found I eased up for about half a minute.

Pleased with a 26:16 course PB (by 3 seconds) though. I also saw Dave K going the other way when I was on the return. Bloody hell he looked like a motorbike he was travelling so fast, a 22 dead!
