Paul T was seeding all the riders and I was shunted right to the back tonight
Adam was racing possibly his last ride before he needs a op on his shoulder, good luck mate.
Paul T was racing and I noticed he slid himself nicely in one of the slower groups
Also a new face from Addiscombe was Fred, he was riding very strong towards the end when it all came together.
5 groups off and our scratch group was going like a train, we soon caught up to group after group until we were all together with 2 to go I think.
On the last lap the pace really increased, Dave Kennet tried the old 1 2 for the Norwood Paragon, but we soon got them back.
I was feeling super strong coming up the last drag/hill was gonna go for an attack on the hill but was right in the wrong position up the front.
Coming to the last left turn I was 5 back slammed it in 11-53 accelerated up the outside and shot round the corner with no brakes as fat as I could:x
I sprinted with all my might and shot off the front, I knew there was still 3/4 of a mile left and I was sprinting all the way, I'd got a gap and it was increasing, which was nice.
It seemed to take forever before I got a glimpse of the chequred flag in the distance,
Phew I had a decent gap of maybe 60m all I had to do was keep sprinting.
500m I might just do it
200m to the line and my legs were screaming
100m I still had a lead
50m I was fading slightly after 1k of flat out
2m to go doh there was someone on my right
1m and I was just pipped to the line, gutted
Oh well I gave it everything I had and really enjoyed going for it just sorry I didn't quite get the win this time
cheers George
