Hmmm. CBC on fixed wheel, now there's a thought........

[quote="marco"]You could of course dust off your new mtb and do the sustrans tracks with us and ride back with the 15s

It's a thought but I haven't been able to pick up the bike yet :x .
If I can get it tonight I'll let you know as I could be in so long as it looks up to it. Hasn't been used for ages so not sure what condition the brakes, chain, etc are in.

What sort of average speed are you looking at?
What sort of numbers are you planning for?

Simon - I'll more than likely be doing a group intended for the 20/21 riders you ride with on a regular saturday

9.30 start, bit more direct than Paul's...

CSS - Merstham - Bletchingly - Outwood - Turners Hill - Haywards Heath - Ditchling - Brighton - Lunch - Devils Dyke - Club Run in reverse

Usually works out at around 100 miles - anyone from the 18mph groups upwards welcom

CBC - Times and Groups

Goal is to be @ pier by 12.15 for pix, then lunch

Arrive @ CSS 15mins before depart time as will be leaving prompt.
Bring cameras, phones, food, drinks, & suncream.

If you can't make the full trip then pick your grp & ride to Turners Hill, have a break & turn back to Croydon. Or, just ride to Brighton & get the train back after lunch.

Departure Time / Group Leader / Route & average speed.

8.00 Marco - offroad sustrans
8.30 Paul - via Turners & Eastbourne 20/21 mph
8.30 Tim - Charity ride route 14/15 mph
9.00 Monty - ditto 16/17 mph
9.30 Huw - ditto 18/19 mph

Return via Devils Dyke & reverse of normal CR.

Monty.

I will def be taking it easy on Sat to rest my knee. So it's a one way trip for me and I will see how I go with Tim and co to start with anyway. I am always up for a bit of Ditchling though :)
