Pretty gutted I missed the Brighton mtb ritde last weekend, but hey sleepless was amazing!!

Anyone fancy a ride Sunday then?

East Croydon 10am

Fancied a quick blast up to and around Keston - but if someone else has a burning desire to do something else then please suggest it.

Anyone in?

Bet you weren't as gutted as me, and there was nothing amazing about the wedding I went to.

Was going to do this :

Sunday 19th August 2007

BACK TO JAIL Last time we did this ride to the Old Jail, it was spoilt by bad weather. It's worth repeating though as the long downhill stretches make for enjoyable riding. The first half is quite urban until we reach the countryside at Coney Hall. We'll ride through Downe on the way to the country pub in Jail Lane. Then it's a steady climb to the highest point in Greater London before the 4 miles of downhill back to Croydon. 30 miles. Led by Mark W, details: 07711 688189 mark at pollardshillcyclists.org.uk
What will it be like? Mostly tarmac. Lots of hills including 2 short mountains to get up but made up for with the long downhills. Not good for beginners.
Where? Depart at 09:30 from outside Pollards Hill Library on South Lodge Avenue.

But I'd rather go off road if you're prepared to lead Stu

yup im fine leading, just dont want to bore people with routes they may have done a million times before, hence i always suggest if anyone has a better idea.

but yeah, you know me, up for all sort of silly non-road antics!!

Kasper, which route where you referring to?

Are we keen to just do a fully offraod keston loop or do we want to try to map out this new route?

Pollards Hill Ride with Marc

Postby Kasper » Sat Aug 18, 2007 6:19 pm

Yeah sorry Stu post was a bit confused wasn't it.

I was thinking of tagging along with the pollards hill ride as it sounds interesting. Just worried ride might be a bit tame so was wondering if we could go off on our own ride if we wanted .

I'd be up for meeting anyone outside e croydon station and riding down wioth them to pollards hill as i know the way. From the community centre we'd follow the pHC group ride.

I could meet anyone outside e croy staion at 8:30 would give us plenty of time to get there for the 9 :00 am start.
