Fallling leaves 2007 your favourite dry ride :-)

Postby huw williams » Mon Jul 16, 2007 3:09 pm

This year's Ride of the Falling Leaves is scheduled for October 7th.

Entries on the Dulwich Paragon website from 1st August. After last year's coverage expect a much bigger field, better facilities and more streamlined event.

I can assure everyone that last year my ride was 100% rain free

Don't worry, Sean - it's 1) local and 2) not a full day (or shouldn't be). If you're in a hurry to get back, I'll be happy to take your free food and beer token off you

Sean,

Alll you have to do is, about a week before the event, tell the missus that you are going cycling 4 days before the due date. She will no doubt then have the baby straight away, leaving you free for the weekend.

Ta,

Graham.

Boing...

Just a reminder that online entries are now open. Did mine yesterday so there are still places available - but not for much longer, I wouldn't think.

A great day out with no horrible early starts, overnight stays or long drives there and back (assuming you're somewhere in south London). You even get a go on the track at Herne Hill.

Oh, and don't forget the great food and beer afterwards - included in the entry fee.

Excuses? Well the only one I can use that close to the EDD is that the baby actually arrives that day! ;-) Anyway, I've heard that this is a great event, local and yes well worth a punt.

Sean - If you manage to go out cycling on the day your wife is due I would be amazed. If she were to pick you up from Herne Hill after a couple of beers then I would be double amazed !!

Just think - If you get the call in mid kent it would probably be the fastest sportive you'll ever do...
