Congratulations everyone for finishing this grueling event.

With that grim weather at the weekend you must have thought twice in the morning.

At least the Surrey League 5 day there are breaks in between, but 200 plus miles in one day....... now I'm sure I've got a job soon in Manchester

As there was a light drizzle, decided to train in the garage. Felt rather pleased with my effort (2x20) at threshold.

Then I read your reports and quite frankly i feel a right wimp.

I think you are absolute heroes even to comtemplate riding for 12hrs and at race pace.

Well done again and I`m really not worthy.

256 miles?

That's 21.3mph average you f****ng lunatics!!!

I averaged 21.3 mph down to Tesco in Pulrey the other day and it damned near killed me, but 12 hours?

12 f****ng Hours! In the rain!

There's a fine line between madness and genius and you guys clearly don't know where it is. Awesome

Some people need to take Paul a little less seriously if they think he would stop for a McDs with Tamar hot on his heels  Either that or he's completely barking

Toks - the NP for the day was 218w, average was slightly lower at 208w which was 14w up on last year. I took/take the view that your power will inevitably tail off after 12 hours so started a bit quicker than I finished but still not sure I've got it right. Looking for a big improvement for my 4th 12-hour.

Snoop, next year this event will be the national champs so well worth a go. You don't have to do a stupid mileage, there were many people out who finished in the '00s and of all the events you can do the 12-hour is by far the most sociable and well supported whilst you're riding. It hurts a bit for the next couple of days though

Ride of the day in my view was Grant Pyke (Kingston Pheonix) who slogged round for 12 hours on a bl***y trike.

[quote]over 200 miles in a day, crazy.

riding a bike for 12 hours, crazy.

and in crap weather, crazy.

but still, fair play, thats pretty epic!

and my sprint for the final timekeeper was blisteringly fast.

No-one took me up on my offer to ride home :?

rich - remember t'was thee who got me to succumb to the 100 and lo - you dnf-d. Mind out if I do enter next year, twice could be too much.

We'll see about this....looking back I am kind of glad I was able to put myself through a 100 - and the only way is up!

Great reports, Tamar, Rich and Paul. Made me a bit nostalgic about the days, decades ago, when I rode a couple of the ECCA 12s. Never got a rough wet day, though, yours sounds uncomfortable. And I think I'd have found doing more circuits than the final one (they always used out-and-back legs then) on the tedious side. So great rides all round, congrats.

Sylv, you'll love it! It's such a cool way to spend a day: pedalling along getting handed goody bags and drinks from your lovely helpers, and nice marshals showing you where to turn so you don't have to worry about a thing apart from pedalling and trying to beat Mr PVT. A top day out and no mistake.
