Thanks to Jon Avery who seems to have created a FB group for ACC. Trouble is it doesn't have many members, besides Jon's girlfriend and a few other random folk. Maybe we could make better use of this as an alternative group contact forum.

You can find it at http://www.facebook.com

I think you need to do a search in groups for Addiscombe Cycling Club and then you can add it to your profile

but I expect you have to be a FB member first and if you become one feel free to give me a poke - whatever that means???

Yes, Toks, I know

If you have replied to me on FB, I'll have to see it later tonight or tomorrow, whenever I get round to looking at it again. Can't look at it at work....

Students of life Adam! It was invented at a US university but seems to be the fastest growing social network and unlike myspace it doesn't seem to favour adolescents.

there are 22 members now and it is growing!

funny story with facebook...

i set up a user thing on in and after a few days i was added by a bunch of chamberlaynes from canada.

for a joke i said they might be some long lost realatives ...then a quick search by there grandad and my great uncle in the family tree and records, and by jo! we were related!

my great, great, great grandad from the 18 somethings or other had 7 brothers. one of the brothers moved out to canada and started a new family out there. however he cut off ties with his family back in england, and no one had heard of that branch of the family since! amazing!

such a small world....

Well.....

I poked Alan (no offence), and he poked me. Don't know about you Alan but I'm slightly underwhelmed, I was expecting a least a mildly painful sensation....?

I felt magnificent - a truly memorable moment! I think I need more pokes in the future but can we intensify and magnify the experience - what about a poke in the eye with a sharp stick?

24 now on Facebook - easy to operate and lots of capacity to communicate - 76 needed for the target 100.
