Tour Of Ireland: Highlights ITV 4 7.00-7.30pm

Caught this just by chance whilst giving my right thumb its obligatory interval work out on the virgin remote control last night... A break of about 10 went clear and manage to secure a massive 12-13 minutes on the bunch. A Unibet guy won it...Its a shame none of the British based Teams (DFL, PCA and Recyling) managed to get a man in the break. :?

cycling on the box

I was flicking through the channels as well before the usual 3 hrs of soaps come on and bloody hell cycling on the telly! Good to see ITV 4 are covering smaller races, hopefully their show the vuelta, but the irish bloke twitters on about nothing and seems to have to no idea about cycling whatsoever while Phil Ligget just stands there with a strange grin on his face probably thinking "This blokes talking a load of old s@#t" and then the adverts come on and last for ages! Better than nothing though.

Yeah he's definitely one of those "I'm just glad to be on TV types" - some great little climbs on the first couple of stages 8)

Can't remember the Irish fellas name but he's been commentating for ages. I have a video of the 1988 (I think) Nissan Classic with Kelly in superb form (the fastest TT ever at the time), and he does the commentary on that.
