A great ride. Chapeau to Andrew for organising it. Approaching CSS I started feeling a bit apprehensive and was bracing myself for a real rip roaring leg burning pasting and a few hours of pain trying to keep up with the few riders, and there always the fast ones who usually turn up for this sort of thing on a Bank holiday morning; so was relieved to see such a good turn out. Reached the top of Ranmore in a small group including Huw and was in two minds whether to go for it or wait for everyone else. I thought I'd do the gentlemanly thing (feeble excuse) and waited and had a brilliant ride. Even the mighty Whitedowns seemed alright after doing a bit of catching up after my chain had come off just after crossing the main road.
The new wheels definatley made a real difference on the climbs. For cheapish carbon wheels you cant go far wrong with a pair of Veulta matrix pro's.
A great day, a great ride and good to see so many out.
