If you're single or perhaps just bored with the current missus this may be of interest to you. Don't worry about the triathlete bit, she told me she was looking for anyone who was serious about there sport and trained 4/5 times a week. I invited her down on Saturday for the 100+ but she didn't seem too keen, you never know though....

Hi Rob,

Great speaking to you earlier, as you know im looking for a triathlete for a new ITV1 dating show. I would appreciate it if you can send this information to all the members of your club:

I am looking for a SINGLE, MALE, TRIATHLETE, AGED 30-45 for our dating show with a difference. If you are interested in finding out more and applying, I would love to hear from you TODAY!

Background info for you: We’re making a programme about dating and need to find single, athletic and fit men aged 30 – 45 who are up for a challenge, are passionate about being active, sporty and clean living and who are interested in trying something completely different and also showing an attractive single woman how they live their lives.

He would get to spend 2 days with an attractive single girl who has a completely different lifestyle to them – different lifestyle choices/ different walk of life or different background, then she would spend 2 days with him, where we would help organise all the dates and activities he would choose to do that typifies how the lives his life. The idea is to experience a different way of living and then see if romance blooms!

It’ll be loads of fun and we want to find these focused, fit people ASAP (hopefully be talking to applicants from today) I’ve also attached a poster.

Sounds like they are going to send a Southern Triathlete off to Liverpool to spend a couple of days with a northern lass and ample portions of Pie and peas !!

I just don't get this. Why would you want to spend two days with someone who has completely different interests to you? It's all very well expanding your horizons and being open to new experiences, but surely dating is about finding someone who has similar interests and outlook to your own....am I missing the point???

Have you ever tried dating a non-cyclist?? It just doesn't work. You never get to see them 'cos you're always on your bike, and when you do they whinge about you washing your wheels in the bath or getting grease on the duvet or the fact you're yawning when they're talking to you. They don't understand that it's not so much that you're bored but just knackered having spent most of the day on the bike whilst they lounged around and they want you to go out and be sociable when you need a snooze. It's a recipe for disaster.

I've got two dates in mind already;

1) Get up at 4am on a Sunday morning and ride up and down a dual carriageway for a couple hours.

2) An evening getting sweaty in the garage on the turbo trainer.

What more could any attractive single woman want? :D

I don't think it sounds too bad, but having said that at 29 and 3/4 i'm far too young to be considered. Not sure that the girlfriend would be too impressed either.

No no no, as well as being far too young it would take too long to train a new girlfriend up. It's a very gradual process of minor dissapointment followed by minor dissapointment to get to the nirvana like state that is my relationship ;)

Only joking, I'm actually a very lucky bloke!
