Friday 2 January Ride

Postby Marek » Wed Dec 31, 2003 12:12 pm

If anyone is up for it I am planning on riding Friday from CSS. 9.30am meet up and we can decide on route depending on weather. If raining then probably a reasonably short ride, else go a bit further if no rain. Maybe do Brighton and back on Friday if anyone else fancies going that far.

Cheers

Will do my best to be there. 9:30? Surely not on a holiday.

Darren, Ian and myself met up at CSS this morning and we made the decision to head down to Ditchling and back. Weather was a bit overcast but didn't rain until a bit later on.

Just outside Ditchling Ian got a puncture. He told us to carry on but we insisted on helping him repair it. He was probably looking for an excuse not to climb Ditchling which we didn't let him have.

After Ditchling we stopped off on the way back in a small bakery in Cuckfield. Excellent Banana cake, in fact so good that we had two pieces. Started to rain after the coffee break but fueled up on cake we picked up the pace to get home.

Cheer guys for a good ride, I had approximately 120km on my clock when I got home.

Me dip out of ditchling?!! Well it was worth a try I did not want you two getting cold. still the climb does warrant 2 pieces of cake and probably a large brandy for bed. I really enjoyed the ride and the tow along for most of the ride.
