i think there's at least one firm who you send your existing saddle and post to, bolted together in your normal riding position, and they make a one piece carbon replica of the whole thing.

right, i finally went for a pair of DT R1.1s on DT240s with 28/32 spoking.

conventional wheels so i can replace the rims when they wear out (going for long term value); no fancy spokes, or obscure lacing methods. Still the same weight as Ksyrium ES, Fulcrum 1 or Eurus. Yes, I might need to learn how to true them.
