Agree.

However, it matters to the extent that we can use it to gain publicity, which you seem to be doing very well.

[quote="marco"]I dont think it matters
if we are the biggest it wont be forever and it doesnt mean a huge amount
Indeed, I think London Dynamo are rumoured to have 370 members[quote]what would be better though would be if we could take it one step further and were the ones who took the message out to the rest of the cycle clubs in the country and made cycling the number two sport behind football like it is all over the rest of the continent

its not impossible and we really could be the catalist needed to do it
Yeah that would be great :D

A grey area this - there are internet based 'clubs' whose membership is spread accross the country and never meet most of their fellow members

Then you turn up at a sportive they organise/sponsor and thers about a 100 riders in the same jersey you've never seen before

Another example is the 40+ (of which I am surprisingly a member :shock: - 2nd claim of course :wink: ), as their membership is right across the country, and most are already (like me) in other clubs anyway.

Dynamo make me laugh, their guys turn up to races and say 'Oh, i didn't realise you were with Dynamo' LOL

Whilst i can't proffess to have met all xxx? Addiscombe CC members, i would always know the guys at races! And i think i must know about 75% of our members even if i don't know their names (Sorry!).

In fact, i probably don't even know half the members' names :oops: Maybe next time you see me, remind me who you are :wink:

Marco/Sean... Is it possible to have pictures underneath your profile alias either on the left hand column on posts, or on our profile page?

If there's a counter-ride from Addiscombe, I could be tempted to dust down my once-worn Addiscombe jersey to help fight back :D

"Didn't you just know this was gonna happen"

And a good thing too - If we've started the ball rolling and other clubs start getting upwards of 100 riders out - you soon won't be able to drive on the roads for cyclists - awesome!
