Thanks for this Sean - interesting article. I hold with the theory that in my case at least, it's all about getting fitter. The bike has limited relevance. Maybe one day, when I'm struggling to get below the hour for a 25 I'll consider it but for now, John's old TT bars are about as far as I'm willing to go (and maybe a pointy hat for my birthday... )

Good article. I've discovered that the biggest thing you can do to quickly improve your TT time is sort your head out. So much of it seems to be mental (no need to comment Huw  ).

I saw a Cervelo P3C with a pair of tasty looking Zipps at the Sevenoaks tri yesterday. I didn't get a look at the rest of the kit but I bet the bike cost £5000 easy.

I think you have a good point on your mental approach Andrew. My bike performance on Sun wasn't great, it was erratic and I had some moments of seeing red. Like being overtaken and my computer falling off. Not sure if I will do much better at the Presidents 10. Surely I can get a PB though.

[quote="Seanieh_The PengeAvenger©"]What's the problem? You've made huge leaps this year on last year. Just put it down a blip.

Yep I know. I was just flying high after my first turn with 18's a few weeks back, and then I had a few off weeks. This year has been a training eye opener, it's a pity work and illness get in the way of cycling.
