[quote]I don't have a speedo Andrew but this week I've ridden 315 miles

You call that a big mileage :?:

I did 294 miles in 2 days. Rode to Dover (left at 2am), across to France, down to St Omer, back via Boulogne and back home (midnight). Total of 19.33 hours riding time. 8)

Then normal commute on Friday

I rode into work for the first time yesterday...

A lovely tour of the A232 from Epsom to Orpington. 1hr 7m on the way there, 58mins on the way back.

I was obviously more keen to get home!

Was quite fun actually, much better than the M25  Plus you can keep a keener eye for any nice women about on a bike, counted 9 on the way in, and 15 on the way home. Definately enjoyed the ride home more!

Just the 94 miles yesterday - to a meeting in Hove, but with fully loaded paniers, change of clothes, shoes, wet wether gear and a laptop - acceleration was a challenge, but managed to average 18.1mph going :D
but only 16.8mph on the return although I did go up over Devil's Dyke and through the lanes.

Nice one Paul, its a good distance to ride to Brighton and back, I love it :P

With a laptop you got to make sure you don't drop the bike.

No chance I think Huw said he does half a mile, probably extends it on the way home.

before I joined the club i used to do a regular 50 mile round trip from crystal palace to work in Egham, must admit I hated it in winter on my MTB (no nice country bits either). Then moved job to hammersmith, a more sensible distance! but I missed the miles and so went looking for a cycling club to help me keep up the mileage, and ended up joining ACC! Now I do a 20mile round trip, fits in with family life a bit better, can drop the children off to breakfast club in the morning and back in time for dinner in the evening, very civilised.

Only 15/16 miles each way...but into Westminster. I reckon anyone brave enough or foolish enough to risk life and limb through the London traffic deserves a medal.
