The day before IOW trip so no can do. Would like to do a night ride though, and a CBC would be great. I want to do the odd long event in the next year or two so it would be useful to do some night riding for preperation, I mean proper night riding rather than just winter commuting. Learn the ropes etc.

Would anybody be interested in a CBC night ride at some point? I'm afraid I would need a navigator at night or I'd get lost in a country lane somewhere, but would be happy to volunteer my services for any other organsiation of it that would be needed.

Is it just me that thinks this is the most ludicrous thing to do on a bike. I mean why ride your bike to Brighton and back at night, why ride your bike anywhere at night unless you really have to?

It is dark and therefore you don't really get to see very much, it must be more dangerous as you will be trying to follow wheels in the darkness. All the good cafes etc in Brighton will be closed and you will probably be riding with a bunch of nutcases, as I can only presume that nutters would do this type of thing.

Why not wait until the morning and then cycle down when it is light and you can see where you are going or is that just boring?

Anyhow, how do I enter this?

Cheers

Marek....

Is that possible and legal on a bike in the dark on back lanes to Brighton?

Maybe not on the back lanes, but definately once you hit the prom in Brighton... :?
