Was anyone caught in the worst of the rain this morning?

Coming into Norbury, approx. 7.45am - the heavens opened. It was biblical! The crazy wind made the rain drops feel like hail on my face. I could hardly see where I was going. I saw a couple guys on motorcycles actually stopping under the railway bridge to wait till it calmed down.

It wasn't long before that "I'm so wet now I don't care anymore" moment came, and the rest of the ride was actually good fun - except my brakes were pretty useless. A lot of faffing to get everything dry by tonight though!

Yeah Sylv I saw the rainstorm just as I was starting my first TURBO session of the day in the comfort of my nice dry garage :D

I got pretty wet too, I worked up a right SWEAT trying to keep 350W+ is a great workout.

I set off for work at 05:30 this morning and arrived at work 06:15 so was showered, changed and in the warm when the downpour came. It made me think that getting up at an ungodly hour wasn't so bad after all.

I saw my wife off on her commute with just a rain jacket for protection, 5 minutes later the heavens opened. I then got the children dressed up in waterproof jacket, trousers and wellies for school, I did the same (except instead of wellies I had my spd shoes and neoprane overshoes on). I got into work pretty dry  unlike my wife

Yeah, amazing rain today!

I also experienced the "so wet it doesn't matter" feeling

It was quite refreshing - good job it wasn't cold & dark as well
