Hill Climbs.........

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Just bumping this topic up a bit again.

Many of you may not know because he's been out with an injury for over a year and too modest to say so himself that Tony is one of the top hill-climbers around and with a couple of decent climbers to support him you will have a real shot at some of the team prizes including the huge team prize for the Bec CC event.

So some of you whippets (Jon, Sylv, Stu, Adam, Rob anyone else?) should think about entering. Because they're CTT events you have to get your entries in 2 weeks in advance (even earlier for the National Champs - 9/10).

Go on you know you want to do it :!:

Richard, for a minute there I thought you were going to have a go.

Well, back to reality, last night I got round to printing off some entry forms including the 2nd sheet for the hillclimb info (not that I have anything to put in the boxes). If I'm feeling brave tonight I'm going to fill them in, and if I'm feeling very brave on Wednesday I'll post them.

In for a penny, in for a pound... Brighton Mitre (x2), Catford & Bec.

1. Its Mr Cotterell

2. Im so not going to get beaten by you on a hill, just no, no way on earth. You do realise ill be back on my bike this weekend, and that ill then have a week to 'train'.

Compared to last year when i still beat you off the back of 3 weeks at uni, sans velo, on the booze all day everyday... 8)

Just think how fresh i am after such a long rest

Club hill climb

Postby Paul on the Pearson » Tue Sep 25, 2007 2:28 pm

Unfortunately I may have to give the club hill climb a miss. Was out on Monday getting a bit of practice in, Yorks Hill and after doing the Circiut of kent t'other week thought I'd go back to one tree hill for ol' times sake, any way the bottom brackets gone a bit creaky and clonky so will have to pop it into Pearson sat morning so its all tippity top for the kingston wheelers climb up Leith(al) hill and The falling leaves next week.
Does anyone know of any bike mechanics course,s, gears, bottom brackets and that sort of thing. Its about time I should know how to fix these sorts of things. I know Downland cycles do one but thats in Southampton I think.
